UK’s Powerhouse Energy Group (PHE) and Australia’s National Hydrogen (National H2) have signed an initial 5-year framework agreement, which sets out the terms on which PHE’s technology and engineering expertise will be provided, on a project-by-project exclusivity basis, to National H2 for its intended roll-out of multiple hydrogen-based projects across Australia, Italy, Switzerland and Hong Kong.
According to PHE, under the agreement, its wholly-owned subsidiary Engsolve will undertake the front-end engineering design (FEED) for the facilities, which will be fully funded by National H2, and in addition, PHE and National H2 will work closely with the chosen engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor.
PHE said it will not be required to contribute any capital for these projects. Instead, the collaboration will be based on a license fee and royalties model.
“Powerhouse looks forward to working closely with National H2 to deliver these projects successfully, fostering innovation and creating a positive impact on the global hydrogen landscape,” PHE noted, adding that further updates on the collaboration will be provided as and when appropriate.
