Discover why some of the world’s leading oil & gas companies work with us.
The Upstream E&P spotlight was placed firmly on the North West Africa region when, in 2014, Independent Oil Companies, Cairn Energy and Kosmos Energy, made two respective world class discoveries offshore deepwater in Senegal & Mauritania.
Cairn’s SNE discovery and Kosmos’ Tortue discovery have transformed the MSGBC basin into one of the worlds most desirable locations for exploration & production activities, which brought attention from Super Major, BP, who farmed into the Tortue project and Australian Independent, Woodside Energy, who joined Cairn Energy on the SNE development.
Further to this the whole West Africa region is poised for a busy 2018 as Nigeria has announced 24 planned fields, with optimism surrounding the ultra deepwater Zabazaba-Etan discovery and the Bonga North/South discoveries. Ghana is also an exciting country, and are currently on track to become the region’s fourth biggest producer by 2020, and will launch the first exploration licensing round in Q4 2018 . ENI will start producing gas in the region, while Tullow Oil are looking to further develop the Jubilee field, as well as acquiring a second block, TEN in the region. Tullow have also acquired four licenses in the Ivory Coast, who have plans to double their oil and gas output by 2020.
