The Mangystau Regional Oil, Gas & Infrastructure Exhibition returns on 10 – 12 November 2015 in Aktau, Kazakhstan. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, this event has become the central meeting place to help upskill technical and operational oil and gas professionals operating, and connect sellers with buyers.
Despite discussions of a slowdown in Kazakhstan’s oil and gas market, the Mangystau regions actually offers strong commercial opportunities for international companies seeking to enter this exciting market. For example, KazMunayGas and Eni have finalised an agreement that defines the commercial terms of the transfer to Eni of 50% of the subsoil use rights in the Isatay block.
The Iranian North Drilling Company is also willing to extend its cooperation to Kazakhstan. CEO Hedayatollah Khademsaid said the first region in Kazakhstan that the company wants to do drilling operation is the Mangystau region.
Furthermore, the Kazakhstan Ministry of Industry and New Technologies has suggested to expand Aktau Seaport Special Economic Zone and focus it on oil, whilst Tenaris is investing $40 million in the construction of a new plant of pipe thread-cut lines with a capacity of 45,000 tonnes per year in Aktau.
