After the great success of the first edition in July 2017, which saw the participation of 70 companies, AIS and ISA Italy announced the promotion of the second edition of the AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT, which will be held again in the splendid settings of the Castello di Belgioioso (PV)on July4 and 5, 2018.
The elements of the success
Opened witha keynote speech of Pierroberto Folgiero, Managing Director of Maire Tecnimont and the welcome speeches of the Presidents of AIS and ISA Italy, respectively Claudio Montresor and Ugo Baggi, the event turned out to be a precious container for meetings and debates in an international collaborative climate. During the summit the speakers presented in English papers and case studies concerning the themes: Advances In Control Systems, Control And Plant Communication, The Industrial Internet Of Things 4.0, Cybersecurity, Instrumentation And Analyzer, Technology Evolution. The same themes were the focus of the exhibition area located inside the Castle, where 70 companies presented their products and services for the oil&gas, petrochemical, power generation and manufacturing automation sectors.
The second edition
The AUTOMATION INSTRUMENTATION SUMMIT 2018 will take place at the Castle of Belgioioso, in the province of Pavia, on July4 and 5. In the convention area, speakers will have the opportunity to present case histories and share their know-how, while companies will showcase products and solutions in the exhibition area within their own stands.
The Belgioioso Castle is a historic location that gives visitors the opportunity to reflect on the great work of our predecessors. Italy is the cradle of creativity, from Leonardo Da Vinci to Galileo Galilei, from Enrico Fermi to Giulio Natta, as well as home to industry leaders such as Tecnimont, Saipem, Technip, Techint and Foster Wheeler who run the majority of refineries, steel mills and power plants, scattered all over the world.
The purpose of the conference, promoted by AIS and ISA ITALY SECTION, is not only to inform participants about the latest technologies but also to demonstrate their relevance in terms of improving the productivity and above all the quality and sustainability of the industrial production.
Themes and Topics
Theme 1: Advances in control systems
In this session the recent developments in control system strategies and advanced controlwill be presented, emphasizing process optimization and assessment of system integration, reducing energy and maintenance cost and improving efficiency.
Theme 2: Internet of Things, 4.0, Cyber security
The Industrial Internet of Things and the industry 4.0 are revolutionizing the energy and process industry. Companies are increasingly looking at how to harness their data across their supply chain by connecting their “things”: people, processes and assets. Huge investments have already been made in technology across operations. Now the key is to leverage these investments to create new efficiencies and cost savings. Prospective authors have to considertoday’s big-data strategies, cybersecurity, real-time analytics, HSE and safety process together with other advances that can be powerful tools in optimizing IoT to make the operations of energy companies more efficient and safe.
Theme 3:Instrumentation & analysers technology evolution
Authors are invited to meet the challenges andthe analyzerdevelopments of the process industries. Topics will cover diagnostics, health management practices, control system instrumentation, process measurement, signal analysis, condition and reliability based maintenance, safety process, fire and gas systems, test and measurement, failure analysis and their prevention, fault detection.
